About the Roaster

Boxcar

Boulder, CO

Founded in 2010 by Cara and Vajra Rich, Boxcar roasts on the front range of the Rocky Mountains. That rugged Colorado landscape comes through in its scrappy can-do attitude. Named for homemade ‘30s race cars, Boxcar began when Vajra put his woodworking skills to use rebuilding machinery in the name of perfect high-altitude coffee.
Fun Fact
This Rocky Mountain roaster developed its Boilermaker brewing method to combat the challenges of making high-altitude coffee.
