The Role

We are seeking a talented and data-driven Senior Product Manager to lead our retention efforts. This role is critical in driving user engagement and loyalty, ultimately contributing to the company's long-term success. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of user behavior, a passion for product development, and a proven track record of improving retention metrics. As a key member of the Product team, you will be responsible for shaping the strategic vision, developing features and innovative solutions to improve all aspects of our customers’ experience with Trade. You’ll be working closely with the marketing team in this role to shape the overall user journey from first purchase to obsessed, long term, Trade customer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate product discovery, development, and delivery for new products and improvements to existing customer experiences.
  • Build and execute a product strategy, roadmap, and measurable goals for your product area and team.
  • Take ownership of key company metrics, including retention rates, churn, LTV and other relevant indicators.
  • Lead initiatives to drive customer retention through strategic product optimization, collaborating closely with our marketing and operations teams.
  • Collaborate with product designers, engineers, and data analysts to break down and prioritize user needs, and to scope and define detailed product requirements.
  • Collect and analyze customer needs and feedback through rigorous research and testing methodologies.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to formulate compelling business cases for new product ideas and to assess the performance of launched features.
  • Synthesize insights from research, analysis, design, and stakeholder feedback to inform the creation of comprehensive product requirements.

You have…

  • Proven experience (8+ years) in Product Management with a focus on user retention.
  • A clear record of successful delivery and measurable impact of delightful user experiences; preferably within a consumer or customer-facing business in the direct-to-consumer or e-commerce industry.
  • Experience working on subscription products, within a DTC company/team is preferred.
  • Strong product sense and high customer empathy, with the ability to envision opportunities that address business and user needs and tie that opportunity to the team’s goals.
  • Strong expertise in product strategy, roadmap development, and product lifecycle management.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with proficiency in leveraging data to drive product decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Prio experience in lifecycle marketing is a strong plus.
  • Passion for coffee and interest in the direct-to-consumer industry is a plus.

Office Guidelines

While we operate in a hybrid-first environment, the office is open and available for all Monday through Friday. Team members are expected to spend at least three days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) in-office each week. Our goal is to foster collaboration, connection, and transparency, and we know from experience the important role that in-person time plays in this effort.

Trade is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Salary ranges are determined through alignment with market data. Base salary is determined by a number of factors including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and skills. 

NYC Base Salary Range: $140k - $180k

In addition, Trade offers comprehensive benefits, including company-paid health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including vacation time and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.
